Having run for ten series in the UK and now with variations broadcast in over 40 countries The Million Pound Drop is a BAFTA award winning multi-platform TV game show where contestants can win – or lose – life changing amounts of money LIVE on TV.
Digital Tactics designed and managed both incarnations of the mobile responsive website and cloud hosting platform on behalf of Endemol. This infrastructure scaled on demand to handle the massive surges of traffic experienced during this live TV broadcast, which actively encouraged the public to interact online.
We built their contestant application process on top of legacy systems and delivered various levels of security assessment and support services around the show. We provided constant live support as the show was aired to ensure all aspects of the online event exceeded expectations.
